Dissertation

Today I got my dissertation results back and words cannot describe how happy and relieved I am right now! I managed to get a high 2:1 and i now realise all my hard work and effort that went into it was worth it! Like every other student I was expecting the worst and absolutely dreaded checking my results! But now I have I'm so glad I can relax and stop worrying about it all!

Crowne Plaza Spa Nottingham

During a stay at the Crowne Plaza in Nottingham with a friend we decided to see what the spa was like, and i don't think we had ever had a better idea! The spa itself was gorgeous, the staff made you feel welcome and relaxed and the setting was far enough away from the busy bulk of the hotel. The spa offered a number of treatments and housed a steam room, Jacuzzi and pool, which was perfect to relax in. Here's what the spa looked like..

We spent a large amount of time in and out of the Jacuzzi, steam room and pool, it was the perfect way to wind down after recently handing in my dissertation! I would recommend this spa to anyone who wants to unwind and relax or just pamper themselves as the staff and atmosphere are amazing! 

UV Gel Polish Review

Ever since i completely ruined my nails with acrylics my nails have been weak and fragile, so I've been searching for a more nail friendly alternative. As i wanted my nails to look girly and not chipped for my graduation ball i thought i would give UV gel polish a try after a friend recommended it.

I managed to find a salon close to home offering UV Gel polish (or shellac) i'm sure its pretty much the same thing! And after choosing a cute sparkly pink colour, an hour my nails looked like this..

They looked and felt gorgeous, i was so impressed! I thought i had found a saviour for my weak and brittle nails. But my joy was short lived, as within a week the gel on one nail had lifted and two others had chipped and i was incredibly disappointed, however i think that this was due to how weak my nails were to begin with.

Overall i believe that UV gel polish would work wonders for those with already strong nails, but for those like me who have put their nails through hell may need something a little more hard wearing! 

10 Things You Didn't Know About Me

I wasn't sure on how to start so here's 10 things you didn't know about me..

1. Along with being an Early years and Education Graduate, i'm also qualified in beauty, theatrical and media makeup, ICT and forest school (i like to keep busy!)

2. I'm a MASSIVE shopaholic, seriously if i see something i like, its already brought... even if my bank account is screaming no at me!

3. I have serious wanderlust, Australia, Bali and New Zealand are next on my list!

4. Barbie was my all time favourite toy (probably the reason behind why i love anything pink!)

5. I change my hair ALOT. Although i'm trying to cut down on messing around with it!(We'll see how long that lasts!)

6. I absolutely love fancy dress parties, especially ones that include cocktails

7. I love to read and find it so relaxing, although most the books i read are linked to criminals and murders. 

8. My favourite film is friends with benefits...i mean who doesn't love Justin Timberlake?!

9. I was super scared of starting this blog until a friend gave me the push and support i needed!

10. I support Leicester City Football Club.
